Volunteer, Change a Life

While it can be difficult at times, volunteering can be a most rewarding and worthwhile experience. It gives you the unique opportunity to be a part of someone’s life, expanding your way of thinking and deepening your character.

VOLUNTEER OPTIONS

HOSPICE and HOMECARE: For the chronic or terminally ill individuals, and their families, who are on hospice or homecare services, and those who need some extra assistance,volunteers will give: respite care, friendly visits and conversation, help with end-of-life projects, and compassionate family support at patients’ homes.

SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES: These volunteers provide friendly visits to patients in skilled nursing facilities who are lonely and/or in need of a kind heart and giving hands to bring some sunshine into their day.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Volunteers can also be a part of our Community Outreach program. This program is in sync with Rocky Mountain Care Foundation’s value of helping people maintain their independence and dignity throughout their life. Volunteers will help community members with: friendly visiting, telephone reassurance, yard work, light housekeeping, and other needs.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

  • A giving heart
  • Ability to get along well with others; Acceptance of differences
  • Ability to dedicate 1-2 hours per week in volunteer service
  • A responsible and mature attitude
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Agree to a criminal background check, provided by us
  • Tuberculosis skin test, provided by us
